Tasting notes
Much more focus on exotic fruits, such as guava, mango and pineapple, than stone fruits on both the nose and the palate. Very fresh. Good acidity, with hints of minerality, nutmeg, cinnamon, quince and mango. Long fresh fruit finish. FINE+RARE

The 2011 Guiraud offers attractive scents of dried honey, pressed white flowers and honeysuckle. The palate is medium-bodied with quite a concentrated opening, fine acidity, spicier than its peers with a botrytis-laden finish that has just the right amount of bite. Excellent. Tasted blind at the annual 10-Year-On tasting.
Tasted blind. Quite subtle and measured on the nose but extremely sweet on the palate – just a bit too much so. (JR)
Tasted blind. Rich layered nose. Weightier and more substantial than most with just a suggestion of oak about it still. Pretty impressive fruit! (JR)
