Tasting notes
Pure, precise aromas of lemon, tangerine and flowers. Fat, dense and spicy, with penetrating flavors of peach, minerals, stone and flowers. Very young, pure wine with bracing acidity leavening its succulent fruit. At 2. 5 grams per liter of residual sugar, this is the sweetest of these 2002s, but the overall impression is vibrant and gripping. I recall that the 2001 version also finished with a few grams of r. s.

The masculine 2002 Puligny-Montrachet Referts has a boisterous nose of buttered toast, vanilla, and spices. Medium-bodied, broad, and ample, this suave, soft, velvety-textured wine is richly layered with spiced candied apples. Projected maturity: now-2012. Importer: Vineyard Brands, Birmingham, AL; tel.
