Tasting notes
The 2010 Meursault Genevrières flows across the palate with serious richness and density. There is a honeyed, viscous quality to the Genevrières that I don't usually associate with Genevrières , while the more typical mineral elements are very much in the background, at least today. This is a gorgeous, opulent Meursault if taken on its own terms, but not very typical of Genevrières per se.

Morey-Blanc is the negociant operation Pierre Morey originally started with his wife to compensate for the loss of fruit from parcels he had previously farmed under a share cropping agreement with Comtes Lafon. The wines are aged in Morey’s cellars in Puligny, along with the domaine wines. Importers: Martin Scott Wines, Little Neck, NY; tel. (516) 327-0808, The Source, San Francisco, CA; tel.
