2008 Meursault Genevrieres

Deep yellow. Slightly high-toned, nutty aromas of marzipan, coconut and cherry-almond; I was a bit put off by a somewhat raw oak element. Then intensely flavored, even glyceral, in the mouth but very disjointed today, with spiky acidity not yet in harmony with the wine's fruit. Almost tart at this early stage. An odd showing.
