Score 85/100 · Drink 2001-2009, Robert Parker, Apr 2001
This 1998 tastes much more diffuse than it did prior to bottling, with tasty black cherry fruit, but little weight or depth. It is attractive in a low key, superficial way. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.

Moderately saturated medium red. High-pitched, moderately ripe aromas of cherry, mint and spicy oak. Juicy but on the lean side, with modest flesh and personality. Tannins are reasonably ripe but a bit dry. A wine of modest size and length.
