1994 Certan Giraud

This 1994 appears to have put on weight, and is better defined and richer than the loosely knit 1995. It exhibits a dark plum/high PH-like color, a sweet, jammy nose of pruny fruit, currants, and jammy cherries. Soft, plump, fleshy, and hedonistic, this is a delicious Pomerol for drinking over the next 5-8 years. All of the wines in this segment were tasted between March 19 and March 28 in Bordeaux. Most of the important wines from both the 1994 and 1995 vintages were tasted three separate times during my ten-day stay in Bordeaux.
