Tasting notes
The Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatieres, produced from a vineyard planted in 1970, has delicate, feminine, floral, and perfumed aromas. While this wine is not particularly concentrated or powerful, it possesses considerable refinement and lace-like qualities. This elegant, precise, and highly delineated wine reveals spiced pears, flowers, and tangy lemons in its flavors. It will be at its peak from 2002 to 2008. Importer: Kobrand, Inc., New York, NY; (212) 490-9300.

Honey, smoke, butter, mint, and a whiff of white flowers on the highly aromatic nose. Pure, nicely balanced and dense, with well-buffered acids. But this is closed today and difficult to taste. Very subtle and persistent.
About the producer

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
