Deep crimson. Appetising well-balanced nose that doesn’t seem forced. Black fruit and toasty oak. Quite opulent with real lift and lots of acidity and pinched tannins. Good fruit density. Very dry finish though – tough work. The tannins surely aren’t fully ripe here. (JR)
