Tasting notes
The 2000 St.-Joseph Offerus is a negociant blend fashioned from some of the best hillside vineyards overlooking Tournon, St.-Jean de Muzols, and Mauves. This cuvee spends most of its time in used barriques before bottling. The 2000 offers strawberry and black cherry fruit intermixed with dried herbs, pepper, and spice. Round and generous, it will provide immense pleasure over the next 4-5 years. This family-run estate continues to go from strength to strength, with the father and son (Gerard and Jean-Louis) team pushing all the right buttons to achieve success at all quality levels. Jean-Louis Chave is responsible for several negociant wines. Importers: Langdon Shiverick, Cleveland, OH; tel. (216) 861-6800 and Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant, Berkeley, CA; tel. (510) 524-1524
