Tasting notes
Good clear medium red. Aromas of red berries, red cherry, underbrush and menthol, plus a whiff of reduction. Supple and broad but a bit dry, showing more texture than ripeness or depth of flavor. Diffuse red fruits convey a slightly raw peppery quality. Finishes dusty and a bit dry, with a tarry note.

12-15 months in oak, about 25-30% new. Mid crimson, savoury with some dark fruit as well as red. Denser than many in this vintage. Relatively soft but fruity too and just-right tannin for the weight. Well judged. (JH)
