Herbal blackberries can be detected in the aromatics of the 2002 Savigny-Les-Beaune Les Lavieres. Revealing excellent depth of fruit, this light to medium-bodied wine offers loads of red and black berries that lead the taster into a firmly structured back end. Projected maturity: 2006-2010. Tasting this after several grands crus, it still looks pretty good. Full and rich and complete at the beginning, middle, and end. (JR)
