Score 91-93/100 · Drink 2007-2015, Pierre Rovani, Jun 2004

Beguiling aromas of violets, roses, and black cherries emanate from the glass of the 2002 Savigny-Les-Beaune Les Jarrons. Its vineyard, whom some chose to call “Dominode” to Maurice Ecard’s dismay, is one of the most renowned terroirs of Savigny. Exhibiting awesome breadth, power, and concentration, it slathers the taster’s palate with jammy cherries, raspberries, and hints of candied blood oranges. Impressively fleshy and suave, it possesses an extended, fruit-packed finish. Projected maturity: 2007-2015. Importer: A Peter Vezan Selection, Paris fax #011-33-1-42-55-42-93
