Score 90/100 · Drink 2011-2019, Robert Parker, Dec 2011
The most serious wine of this trio is the 2009 Cote Rotie Cote Brune. It boasts a dark plum/garnet color along with sweet, gamey notes of smoked duck, charcuterie, black raspberries, kirsch, fruitcake, and a spicy, peppery, foresty character. This round, tasty, silky textured 2009 should be drunk over the next 7-8 years. Importer: Europvin; www.europvin.com
