Tasting notes
Made in a super-ripe style that expresses the vintage, Petrolo's 2003 Torrione (100% Sangiovese) is richer and weightier on the palate than the 2004. Ample as well as expansive, it offers generous dark ripe fruit and toasted oak flavors while maintaining excellent freshness for the vintage. It may not be especially complex, but it is quite enjoyable nonetheless.
