Score 88/100 · Drink 2022-2032, Neal Martin, Apr 2022

The 2011 Château de Malle feels just a little simple on the nose compared to its peers, lemon verbena and white flowers, a bit diffuse. The palate has a fine thread of acidity, but overall this is missing some complexity, and it feels rather linear on the finish. Tasted blind at the annual 10-Year-On tasting.

Tasted blind. Light and citrus on the nose. Much racier and leaner than most. An aperitif Sauternes? Pretty but fairly simple. (JR)

Tasted blind. Simple rather sugary nose. Big weight on the palate but not much subtlety. Still very un-knit. (JR)
