Score 87-90/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2008
Good medium ruby. Pure, perfumed, violety nose. Sweet and stylish, with a creamy old-vines texture and noteworthy intensity to the violet and bitter chocolate flavors. Lovely cabernet franc aromatic character here. Finishes juicy, broad and persistent, and light on its feet. A wine of finesse, and likely to be a very good value.

Pure dark peppery fruit. Refined and restrained with lovely closely woven texture. Well balanced. Fine and dry. (JH)
