1975 Beau-Sejour Becot

The 1975 Beau-Séjour Bécot was picked between 24 September and 1 October. This has less presence and depth than the 1970 on the nose: singed leather and light red fruit, tertiary in style but nicely defined. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin, simple in style, a little rustic with attenuation on the dry finish. The palate does not hold up to the nose to be honest and there is a charred note on the aftertaste that is distracting. Bottles should be consumed in the near future. Tasted at the château.
