Tasting notes
Expressive and extrovert – very plump and open. Great intensity of fruit leading right through to the long finish. I’m willing this to have more complexity than it already does… perhaps time is the missing factor. (RH)

(vinified with 80% whole clusters): Bright red. Complex aromas of red berries, spices, flowers and underbrush. Sappy and energetic, showing modest flesh but a distinctly tender quality to its flavors of redcurrant, raspberry, flowers and spices. Finishes long and floral, with a firm spine of tannins and a rocky character. Superb potential.
Dark crimson. A bit sweet'n'oaky. Not enough real purity. I'm afraid I'm a bit disappointed by this producer this year. (JR)
A penetratingly floral nose offers up a broad ranging array of scents that include spice, plum, dark pinot fruit and red currant. There is a suppleness to the mid-palate that makes this approachable already yet the energetic and powerful flavors tighten up fast on the saline-infused, intense and hugely finish. This is breathtakingly persistent and should drink well early but age very well too. Tasted: Jan 15, 2014. Drink: 2024+
