Tasting notes
Score 87/100 · Drink 1992-2000, Robert Parker, Oct 1992

I tasted through the Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg's wines twice in cask and once following bottling. They are firm wines, without the sweetness and opulence I have noted in vintages such as 1985. They will undoubtedly be long-lived. The attractive, tasty Echezeaux is medium-bodied with fine ripeness, but is a trifle short on the palate for a grand cru from this superbly run domaine. Although it should drink well for the next 7-8 years, it is not a dazzling wine. Peter Vezan Selections, various importers.
