Tasting notes
Drinking beautifully, the 2008 Château Malartic-Lagravière has terrific complexity, and while mature, it’s still youthful and lively, with clean dark fruits, notes of tobacco and cigar, medium to full body, and ripe tannins. It’s an elegant, layered, rocking 2008 to drink over the coming 10-15 years.

Tasted blind. Dark youthful crimson. Light leafy nose and a bit pinched on the end. Where’s the fruit? (JR)
Full and fruity on the palate, although the nose is rather pinched. Tight and bitter on the finish. (RH)
About the producer

One of few estates classified for both red and white wine production, Malartic-Lagravière was renovated entirely after the Bonnie family purchased it in 1996. They also expanded the property to its current 53 hectares.
