Ruby-red. Wild, musky, reduced aromas of animal fur, game and chocolate. A big wine with huge sweetness and impressive fleshiness, but currently showing less verve than the Volnay, to cite just one example. The chocolate and game flavors carry through on the palate and tannic finish.
