Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2011 horizontal tasting in Beaune. The 2011 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru from Domaine du Pavillon has a very refined bouquet and yet it does not shortchange on intensity with vibrant citrus lemon, apricot blossom and mineral scents. The palate is crisp and defined on the entry with a slight chalky texture. There is good tension here, although it is just a little sweet on the lemon curd-tinged finish. Do not overlook this tidy little “Corton-Charly”. eRobertParker.com.November, 2014
