Magnum. This was one of the most impressive wines of all. It had lasted so beautifully. Deep orange in colour, it looked as though it might have been too old but in fact it was still lively and tangy. Some real richness (not simple sweetness) and only just fading. Lovely, neat, dense and fresh. (JR)

About the producer

Louis Latour
The Latour family has been growing vines in Burgundy since at least 1731. Their négociant business – today one of the region’s biggest names – was founded in 1797. Still family-owned today, the company owns 48 hectares of vines, 27 of which are Grand Cru, as well as its own cooperage.
