Bright, dark red. Black cherry, licorice, leather and mint on the nose, with some roasted oak emerging in the glass. Bright, nuanced and very Gevrey, with a juicy, spicy character lifting the briary dark berry flavors. Supple and fresh in the middle, with good balance and intensity. The dusty tannins turned a tad dry with aeration.
