2005 Phelan Segur

Tasting notes
Dark in color, with aromas of raspberry, currant and a hint of fresh herbs. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and a medium finish. Comes up a little short, but this is stylish. Best after 2012. 25,000 cases made. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2008

One of the stronger efforts in St.-Estephe in 2005, this Phelan-Segur exhibits good depth of fruit, including mulberry, black and red currants, earth and spice. It is medium-bodied, with sweet tannin and excellent concentration. Drink it over the next 12-15 years. Jun 2015, www.robertparker.com
