Transparent and lively. Lightweight but well balanced and a little chewy on the end. (JR)

Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel, classement 2003 Smudgy nose and pretty stodgy but there is much more on the palate here than on many wines. Full and concentrated. Chewy end. A bit brutal. (JR)

This lighter style of wine is medium-bodied with crisp acids, a cooler climate fruit profile with red currants more than black ones dominating, medium body, some noticeable tannin, and a relatively short finish. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
