Score 89/100 · Drink 1998-2008, Robert Parker, Feb 1998
A sexy, open-knit wine, the 1995 Ferrand-Lartigue exhibits a dark ruby/purple color, a jammy, candied fruit and toasty-scented nose, ripe, velvety-textured, complex, generous black cherry and cassis flavors, and low acidity. This medium-bodied, already delicious wine is ideal for drinking now and over the next decade. A sleeper of the vintage.

Good ruby-red color. Dark berries, spice and a faint menthol note on the nose. Supple and fresh, but a wine of only modest flesh and sweetness. Has decent acidity and a solid tannic spine. Rather cool back end seems a bit pinched.
