Score 88/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
Good dark red. Aromas of crushed black raspberries, meat and scotch. Sweet, juicy and nicely delineated, with flavors of bitter chocolate, licorice and grilled meat. Finishes with a fresh-herbal character. The strong American oak character may well be integrated into the wine with a decade of aging, but I find it quite tiring today.
