Score 16.5/20 · Drink 2010-2020, Jancis Robinson MW, Mar 2012

Mid crimson. The merest hint of a red Loire on the nose. Round and just the right acid/tannin/fruit balance even if overall it’s a mite skinny. Very contained. GV (JR)

Served with the 2001 and cheese. Looks a bit more mature than the 2001. Satin textured. Fresh, sweet and polished on the nose. Very bright fruit. Very, very slightly raw but admirable for a 2002 and already drinkable. (JR)
