(15% alcohol) Bright ruby-red. Subdued aromas of blackberry and tarry oak. Fat, ripe and chocolatey, with more volume than the Deree but less sap and precision. Big, warm, plump and liqueur-like, with noticeable alcohol. Here's a 2003 in the '47 style! Finishes with huge but thoroughly ripe tannins. This will be accessible young but appears to have the sheer material for mid-term aging.
