Tasting notes
Medium-deep red. Raspberry, cherry and a whiff of mint on the nose. Rich, chewy and superripe but not roasted. Very densely packed, creamy wine, finishing with a chocolatey flavor and ripe tannins. This will never be accused of being elegant, but it's fat and satisfying.

Bright ruby-red. Subdued but pure aromas of blacker fruits and licorice, with a subtle component of fresh herbs. Dense, fat and sweet, with very rich but fresh flavors of black cherry and chocolate. Broad and sexy wine, finishing with big, chewy tannins.
About the producer

Volnay’s Domaine de Montille is one of the most historic in the Côte d’Or. Founded in 1730, the property remains family-owned and run, with Etienne de Montille – the ninth generation – at the helm today.
