Looks a little grey. Not a bit stinky and palate a bit dull and chewy. (Average group score: 14.9) (JR)

Mid crimson, quite healthy. Sweet, macerated fruits. Good spine of acidity and tannin, well integrated. This could be great buy for medium term drinking. Though it is not especially intense. (JR)

A potential sleeper of the vintage, this cru bourgeois is unusually successful, as were most wines from this appellation where the high percentage of clay in the soil resisted the torridly hot, dry weather conditions. A deep ruby/purple color is accompanied by straightforward notes of black fruits and licorice. With low acidity, excellent texture, and a plush finish, it will drink well for 7-8 years.
