Tasting notes
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2006 Cluster M45 has quite a meaty nose with game hints over black cherry pie and blackberry preserves notes plus nuances of of black loam and chargrill. Full-bodied and richly fruited with lovely, velvety tannins and a just enough acid to support the concentrated flavors, it’s finishing with great length.

Opaque purple. Youthfully backward aromas of blackberry and blackcurrant skin, cherry-cola and licorice, along with a strong mineral undertone. The mineral note repeats in the mouth, adding structure to the deep, chewy dark berry flavors. Spicier on the finish, which strongly echoes the mineral and licorice notes. Powerful stuff, and in need of a grilled piece of lamb. This wine was formerly known as Cambrien.
