Medium red. Reticent aromas of blackberry and coffee, along with a balsamic nuance. Fat, sweet and pliant, offering lovely energy and definition but a more decadent fruit character than the Savigny-lès-Beaune La Dominode. Really reverberates on the long back end, which features a suave dusting of tannins.

Bright medium red. Reticent, perfumed aromas of red cherry, raspberry, minerals and spices; an essence of this great premier cru. Juicy, minerally and taut; vibrant and sharply delineated. Wonderfully sappy, almost youthfully painful today. Finishes with impressive building length. A superb year for this vineyard, notes Brun.
Medium red. Knockout perfumed aromas of cherry, smoke, game and flowers. Fat, rich and sweet, with wonderful breadth and depth. Nicely framed but not overwhelmed by its new oak component. Very rich, suave wine, fleshy and sweet but light on its feet and long on the aftertaste.
Rich and lively. A bit of a sprightly jewel. Long. Chewy and dense. Very pure. Much more exciting than most Bruno Clair. (JR)
