The Chassagne Montrachet Champs Gain, unlike the village Chassagne, needs time to reveal all it has to offer. Layers of buttered popcorn try to hide the toasty, smoky fruit. Fat and minerally, with superb balance, I recommend waiting 4-5 years before popping open bottles of this beautifully structured, medium-to-full-bodied wine.
