Score 16/20 · Drink 2011-2026, James Lawther MW, jancisrobinson.com, Jun 2022

59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc. Aged 18 months in barrel (45% new oak). 57 hl/ha (largest harvest Gonzague Lurton has produced). Garnet with a touch of brick at the rim. Briary fruit on the nose with a hint of black pepper. Light- to medium-bodied but fresh and persistent. Lacks density on the mid palate but long and harmonious. Probably at its most joyous stage. Very, very lively healthy crimson. Smooth as satin! Already easy to drink but sufficient tannins hidden there too. (JR)

Blackish crimson. Very very sweet, almost caricature without real freshness on the nose. Aggressive acid and tannin. Not harmonious although there is a lot of everything in this wine. Quite a good effort but it could be more harmonious. Good and vibrant (JR)
