Tasting notes
This is a delicious, soft wine with aromas and flavors of mocha, coffee, chocolate, cedar, and jammy red and black fruits. Medium to full-bodied, with low acidity, little density but excellent fruit, and a soft underbelly, it requires consumption over the next 5-6 years. It is ideal for consumers and restaurants seeking immediate drinkability.

Bright ruby-red. Explosive aromas of red cherry, roasted coffee and oak spice. Big, sweet and lush, with an eau de vie-like ripeness; voluptuous but not heavy. Offers distinct notes of roasted grapes. Low in acid and high in alcohol. Finishes with fat, sweet tannins. "Un gateau," says Mitjavile, who feels that this wine has the density to last well, and "to explode over a wide spectrum of aromas for many years."
