Tasting notes
(Fichet bottled his '06s in February of this year) Bright medium yellow. Fresh aromas of soft citrus fruits, peach and minerals. Open-knit but vibrant too, with flavors of pineapple, citrus peel and wet stone. No shortage of energy here. Finishes with enticing lingering perfume. (Incidentally, the '06 Bourgogne Blanc Vieilles Vignes, with a captivating aroma of acacia flower and a silky texture, is a Meursault-like outperformer.)

Smoky oak, clove spice and a hint of malic acidity on the nose. Sweet and velvety, but with a somewhat exotic character following my tasting of the 2005s at this address. Possesses good acidity and depth but could use a bit more energy and minerality. Finishes with a suggestion of vanilla.
