Medium ruby-red color. Aromatic nose of black cherry, gunflint and leather. A distinct step up in flavor intensity over the basic Gevrey villages, which lacked middle-palate texture and seemed a bit pinched. This has a rather supple, harmonious texture and enough finishing flavor to support the oak. Late note of bitter chocolate.
