Bright, pale yellow. Pungent aromas of lemon, crushed stone and menthol. Full, broad and rich but quite dry and backward, with a pronounced stony quality. Like the regular village wine, this struck me as riesling-like and in need of at least a couple years of patience. Ente says the r.s. here is a very low 0.7 grams per liter.

There’s an extra dimension of richness on this wine. Very fine boned and mineral too, really exciting. Very long. Hand sculpted. This parcel was particularly badly hailed. Also tasted 13 Jan 2010: Struck match and more angular than the Fichet wines. But pretty filigree or light. (JR)

Peach and nut oil on the nose. Intensely flavored and firm-edged, with orange and spice flavors coming across as a bit clenched today owing to elevated acidity. But quite long on the aftertaste.
