Tasting notes
The foursquare 2002 Chambolle-Musigny Les Feusselottes is tight, firm, and slightly rustic. Its spicy red fruit aromas are followed by a zesty red currant and cherry-flavored character that reveals edgy tannin. Projected maturity: 2007-2014? Importer: Kobrand, Inc., New York, NY; tel. Good ruby-red. Deeply mineral aromas of dark fruits and chocolate. Then complex but less fruity in the mouth; rich and fairly large-scaled but less sophisticated than the Fuees or Sentiers. Not yet expressive but not hard. Finishes with ripe tannins and very good length.
Cask sample Bright crimson yet the very first of these reds to be at all indistinct on the nose. This needs quite a bit of time and seems very suppressed at the moment. Chewy finish. (JR)

About the producer

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
