Good dark red. Musky aromas of raspberry and earth, along with a suggestion of iron. Sweet and creamy yet nicely sappy too, with lovely pungent raspberry lift giving the wine a lacy quality. Finishes with sweet tannins and very good length. Landanger told me a careful selection was required here in 2011 due to the mix of red and pink berries.

Good dark red. Musky, reduced aromas of dark berries and game. A step up in intensity from the Groseilles, with sound acidity giving shape and lift to the flavors of blueberry and blackberry compote. Tightly wound and fine-grained wine with broad tannins and very good length.
This offers both a small step up in aromatic elegance and a marked step up in complexity with ripe scents of cherries, red and blue pinot fruit, spice elements and wet stone hints. There is really lovely purity of expression to the intense, delineated and vibrant medium weight flavors that culminate in a balanced and strikingly long finish. A classic Chambolle of finesse.
