Tasting notes
The 2000 Barolo Bricco Boschis Riserva Vignolo flows from the glass with freshly cut flowers and sweet red fruit, all supported by fine, silky tannins. I find a wonderful plushness to the fruit that carries through nicely to the enveloping, generous finish. Today the fruit is still quite prominent. Readers who seek tertiary complexity will want to cellar this for another few years.

The 2000 Barolo Riserva Vignolo perfectly captures the essence of this site as well as the vintage. A delicate, feminine Barolo, it offers perfumed aromatics and a core of generous, soft-textured fruit with notable harmony and a gorgeous sense of inner purity that is inescapably seductive.
The 2000 Barolo Riserva Vignolo is unexpressive on the nose, but comes comes to life on the palate, where it offers super-sweet red fruit, mineral and menthol flavors in a soft, accessible style that is very much in keeping with the vintage.
