Score 96/100 · Drink 2004-2014, Robert Parker, Oct 2004
The 2002 Shiraz Lily’s Garden (1,200 cases) is a potent, powerful offering from McLaren Vale. Among the biggest of the Two Hands wines (15.5% alcohol), this dense purple-colored Shiraz has a stupendous perfume of espresso roast, white chocolate, blackberry liqueur, and a leathery, meaty component. With terrific texture as well as unctuosity, and a finish that lasts for nearly a minute, this spectacular Shiraz should drink well young, but last for a decade.
