1992 Riesling Cuvee Ste Catherine

The dry, mineral, apple, and floral-scented 1992 Riesling-Ste.-Catherine offers rich, finely focused flavors, and plenty of extract, as well as higher acidity and a more tightly-structured feel than the Riesling-Cuvee Theo. The problem in Alsace in 1992 was not one of ripeness, but, rather, of too large a crop. Domaine Weinbach was one of a handful of estates that employed serious crop thinning.
