Score 87/100 · Drink 2006-2008, Robert Parker, Oct 2006

The 2005 Butchers Block White is a blend of 54% Marsanne and 46% Viognier, a good combination since the Viognier’s tendency to produce flabby wines is balanced by the Marsanne’s acidity and structure. Fresh, lovely, honeysuckle and citrus notes emerge from this elegant, medium-bodied, stylish white. There is no hint of oak. Drink it over the next 1-2 years.
