Tasting notes
Medium red. Aromas of medicinal red fruits and wild herbs. Penetrating acidity and a peppery element frame the intense redcurrant, smoke and mineral flavors. The explosive, building, savory finish boasts a solid spine of tannins for aging. Very young and extremely promising.

Relatively strong reduction mars the nose. The beautifully rich and mouth coating flavors offer fine power in a sleekly muscular package that culminates in a deep, dusty and utterly delicious finish that goes on and on. This delivers fantastic quality and if you can find it, don't hesitate. As I noted in the introduction however, my score gives the benefit of the doubt that the reduction is a passing phase. *Outstanding* (93?)
The 2010 Vosne-Romanée Les Malconsorts literally floats on the palate. Gracious and ethereal, the Malconsorts shows off remarkable elegance in its hints of plum, dark berries, dried flowers and licorice. The Malconsorts is flat-out gorgeous now, but its best days clearly lie ahead.
