Score 87/100 · Drink 2015-2023, Robert Parker, Jun 2015

As always, an attractive and not excessively tannic style of wine, d’Escurac’s 2005 has a dense ruby/purple color, attractive notes of cassis, new saddle leather and spice, medium body, and good depth, freshness and length. This wine should continue to drink nicely for another 5-8 years.

Colour more developed than many though no shortage of depth. Relatively simple, and approachable clean fruit without much oak influence and very well hidden tannins. Nice easy early stuff. (JR)
