Bright crimson. A little over-developed on the nose. Rich and mild and pleasing but without great character or density. A bit aggressive in terms of tannins - dry finish - though not great concentration. Bit old fashioned. Not bad....!www.jancisrobinson.com, 15 May 2009
This dark plum/ruby-hued, tannic, rustic effort reveals some astringency, but it has plenty of concentration, purity, texture and length. For a 2008, this medium-bodied wine is surprisingly unevolved and will benefit from several years of bottle age. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2025. May 2011, www.robertparker.com
About the producer

Named after its founder, Bernard Beauregard, this property is one of few Pomerol addresses to have an actual château – here a stately 18th-century construction designed by the man behind Bordeaux’s Grand Théâtre.
