Mid ruby. Sweet and full and powerful and tight. Very spicy. Nothing forced – kerpow. Curranty and straightforward and honest. (JR)

Still the slightest of hints of toasty oak. Then well balanced but just a little slight and mean on the palate. Very dry tannins on the finish. (JR)

Zesty, lively, exciting nose with real ripeness but not excessively so. Very sweet start and then it just lost it a bit on the palate – went a little bit soft and directionless. (JR)
About the producer

Beauregard
Named after its founder, Bernard Beauregard, this property is one of few Pomerol addresses to have an actual château – here a stately 18th-century construction designed by the man behind Bordeaux’s Grand Théâtre.
